Attendance charge

Every job includes a flat attendance charge on top of your first hour of labour — here's exactly what it covers.

$48

Attendance charge, per visit

Includes vehicle recovery ($15), safety certificate & certificate of compliance ($18), temp fuel levy ($5), and consumables ($10).

Certification for high-risk work

Energising new switchboards, isolating live systems, or inspecting under load is restricted electrical work under NZ regulations and must be certified by a licensed inspector — priced separately from standard hourly work, from $475.

After-hours & emergency callouts

Outside standard business hours (8am–5pm weekdays), industry-standard callout rates apply on top of our normal hourly rates: evenings & Saturdays are charged at 1.5× the standard rate, and Sundays & public holidays at 2× the standard rate. Callout fee confirmed at time of booking.

Price match guarantee

Found a better price on the same project or materials? We'll match it — or beat it. Send us the competing quote and we'll make sure you're getting the best deal without compromising on quality.

Most jobs come to the $48 attendance charge plus your first hour of labour. For work we've done many times before — a power point, a switchboard upgrade, a septic pump install — we're happy to give you a confident, itemised price upfront.

How much does it cost to hire an electrician?

It depends on the job and who's needed for it — our rates range from $75/hr for apprentice-level support up to $110/hr for specialist technical work, plus a flat $48 attendance charge per visit. See our full pricing breakdown above for the details.

02.

Are there any hidden fees I should know about?
